As part of an annual Father’s Day tradition, I bought a pair of tickets to go to a Phillies game with my Dad at Citizens Bank Park, and this year was one of the best games we’ve seen yet.

I took the Broad Street Line subway line from Center City down to the ballpark, and my dad parked in a wonderfully small and inexpensive parking lot, thanks to a helpful tip from my friend Todd. We kicked off the evening with our customary trip to Bull’s BBQ for pulled-pork sandwiches, and made our way to our seats on a really pleasant evening.

While the Phillies haven’t been playing particularly well this year, they pleasantly surprised us tonight. Despite falling behind twice early in the game, the Phils hit three home runs and pulled away from the Reds with a dominating 12–5 win.
