Travis Lee, Philadelphia Phillies

Joined a local Penn State alumni chapter on a bus trip to Baltimore. It was my first visit to Camden Yards, which lives up to its reputation as an outstanding ballpark. The place is immaculate, and there isn’t a bad seat in the place.

The game ended with a dramatic finish — with two outs in the top of the ninth inning, Phillies first baseman Travis Lee (pictured at right) hit a three-run homer to give the Phils a 5–4 win over the Orioles and a one-game lead in the National League East standings before the All-Star break.
